TLW-B Specification Characteristics (per approval document UL E236542)
High-voltage resistant, direct-solderable, triple-layer independent insulation. The following are characteristics per the approval document; complete wire gauge specifications are shown in the specification table below.
Conductor + Triple Independent Insulation = Reinforced Insulation
Triple-insulated wire extrudes three independent insulation layers sequentially over the copper conductor, each capable of independently passing insulation testing. When stacked in three layers, it qualifies as a winding wire component at the "Reinforced Insulation" level as defined in annexes such as IEC 62368-1 Annex J and IEC 61558-1 Annex K (actual status per corresponding certification documents), thereby allowing elimination of isolation tape and reduction of creepage distance during winding, resulting in smaller transformers and more streamlined winding processes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can Triple-insulated wire TLW-B be used in reinforced insulation designs per IEC 62368-1 Annex J?
Triple-insulated wire features three independent insulation layers extruded sequentially over the copper conductor, each capable of passing insulation tests independently. When combined, the three layers qualify as reinforced insulation per IEC 62368-1 Annex J, IEC 61558-1 Annex K, and similar annexes (subject to the corresponding certification document), enabling winding without isolation tape and reduced creepage distance, resulting in smaller transformers and streamlined winding processes.
What is the thermal rating and available conductor gauge range of Triple-insulated wire TLW-B?
Triple-insulated wire TLW-B has a thermal rating of Class B (130°C), with a conductor wire diameter range available for supply of 0.10–1.50 mm. The specification table on this page is an excerpt from the official recognition document (UL E236542), listing 38 wire diameters covering 0.10–1.00 mm; for wire diameters outside this excerpt range, tolerances for each diameter, insulated outer diameter, and conductor resistance, please refer to the full specification table on this page or contact our sales office. Complete specifications are subject to DAH JIN's recognition document and shipping report.
What is the dielectric breakdown voltage of Triple-insulated wire TLW-B?
Per the acceptance certificate (UL E236542), Triple-insulated wire TLW-B has a dielectric breakdown voltage of > 12,000 V, with pinhole rating 0. This value matches the source in the "Product Characteristics" card on this page; actual test conditions and determination are subject to DAH JIN acceptance certificate and shipment report.
Can Triple-insulated wire TLW-B be soldered directly? Do I need to strip the insulation first?
Yes. The solderability listed under "Product Features" on this page is: Direct tinning solderable, no stripping required, allowing the winding process to omit the stripping step. Please confirm the actual soldering temperature and dwell time through trial production based on your process conditions, and refer to the recommended conditions in DAH JIN's specification sheet as the standard.
How do I verify the UL and VDE certification status of Triple-insulated wire TLW-B?
Triple-insulated wire TLW-B is covered by UL filing number UL E236542 (per UL 2353) and VDE certificate number 40008834; all models in the same series use a single approval document with no separate certificate numbers per model. You may query by file number on UL Product iQ; our "Technical Certificates" page provides the official UL verification link. The VDE certificate and its appendix documents are provided by our sales contact together with your quotation request. RoHS test reports per IEC 62321 are also available upon request. Reference specification: CNS8938 · C3151 · UL2353 · UL1950.
