Structure Description

Conductor + Triple Independent Insulation = Reinforced Insulation

Triple-insulated wire extrudes three independent insulation layers sequentially over the copper conductor, each capable of independently passing insulation testing. When stacked in three layers, it qualifies as a winding wire component at the "Reinforced Insulation" level as defined in annexes such as IEC 62368-1 Annex J and IEC 61558-1 Annex K (actual status per corresponding certification documents), thereby allowing elimination of isolation tape and reduction of creepage distance during winding, resulting in smaller transformers and more streamlined winding processes.

Copper Conductor
Copper wire providing the primary conductive path.
First Insulation Layer (PET)
Polyester PET, basic insulation directly covering the conductor.
Second Insulation Layer (PET)
Second independent PET insulation, enhancing voltage withstand capability.
Third Insulation Layer (PA)
Outermost polyamide PA; three independent layers stacked achieve reinforced insulation level.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Single-layer insulated wire and triple-insulated wire TLW-B?

Single-layer insulated wire (model TLW-B1) has an insulation structure of Single-layer insulation and belongs to the same insulation winding-wire series under safety file UL E236542 as TLW-B. If your design requires reinforced insulation per IEC 62368-1 Annex J and IEC 61558-1 Annex K with a three-layer structure, please select triple-insulated wire TLW-B or TLW-F instead; the applicable grade is subject to the corresponding certification document and your safety compliance verification.

What is the thermal rating and available conductor gauge range of Single-layer insulated wire?

Single-layer insulated wire has a thermal rating of Class B (130°C), with a conductor wire diameter range available for supply of 0.10–0.20 mm. The specification table on this page is an excerpt from the official recognition document (UL E236542), listing 10 wire diameters covering 0.10–0.19 mm; for wire diameters outside this excerpt range, tolerances for each diameter, insulated outer diameter, and conductor resistance, please refer to the full specification table on this page or contact our sales office. Complete specifications are subject to DAH JIN's recognition document and shipping report.

What is the dielectric breakdown voltage of Single-layer insulated wire?

Per the acceptance certificate (UL E236542), Single-layer insulated wire has a dielectric breakdown voltage of > 12,000 V, with pinhole rating 0. This value matches the source in the "Product Characteristics" card on this page; actual test conditions and determination are subject to DAH JIN acceptance certificate and shipment report.

Can Single-layer insulated wire be soldered directly? Do I need to strip the insulation first?

Yes. The solderability listed under "Product Features" on this page is: Direct tinning solderable, no stripping required, allowing the winding process to omit the stripping step. Please confirm the actual soldering temperature and dwell time through trial production based on your process conditions, and refer to the recommended conditions in DAH JIN's specification sheet as the standard.

How do I verify the UL certification status of Single-layer insulated wire?

Single-layer insulated wire is covered by UL filing number UL E236542 (per UL 2353); you may query by file number on UL Product iQ, and our "Technical Certificates" page provides official verification links. Please confirm with the sales department which models are covered by the VDE certificate number. RoHS test reports per IEC 62321 are also available upon request. How do I request samples and quotations for Single-layer insulated wire?

Please provide the model, conductor diameter, estimated annual consumption, and application conditions (e.g., transformer specifications and safety requirements) via the online inquiry form. Our sales team will respond with the corresponding specification sheet and sample arrangement. The minimum order quantity (MOQ) is 1,000 m, with a lead time of approximately 2–8 weeks (depending on current shipment volume); packaging methods and lead times for non-standard diameters will be confirmed separately based on diameter and quantity—please contact your sales representative.
