What is a second source?

A second source is an alternative supplier qualified for the same application alongside your incumbent supplier, spreading the shortage, lead-time and pricing risks of single sourcing. Triple insulated wire is a safety-critical component, and most power-supply makers qualify a second source for it.

Can TLW-B directly replace TEX-E?

TLW-B and TEX-E are both triple insulated wires on the same IEC 62368-1 Annex J / IEC 61558-1 Annex K reinforced-insulation path. Any substitution, however, must be validated in your actual application through engineering and safety approval — we do not claim drop-in equivalence. Instead, we match your TEX-E part number with the corresponding TLW-B size proposal, specification table and samples so you can complete the validation.

How do I verify equivalence between the two?

Suggested process: (1) compare both specification tables on wire diameter, thermal class and safety requirements; (2) verify DAH JIN's certifications in UL Product iQ (file number E236542) and the VDE database (certificate 40008834); (3) request samples from us and test withstand voltage, solderability and winding-process compatibility in your transformer or power-supply design.

Are both TLW-B and TEX-E triple-insulated wire?

Yes, both are winding wires with three independent insulation layers, following the same safety path: IEC 62368-1 Annex J / IEC 61558-1 Annex K insulated winding wire.

After switching suppliers, can certifications be substituted for each other?

Certifications are manufacturer-specific—after switching, the wire component file number in the finished equipment safety compliance documentation must be updated to DAH JIN's UL E236542 / VDE 40008834 (both freely verifiable in official databases).

Do we need to re-certify the entire equipment after switching?

This falls under change management and is handled per each certification body's component replacement rules; since both are certified triple-insulated winding wires, it typically involves a document-level component replacement process. Please contact your certification body directly; we can provide complete certification documentation to support you.

Is there a corresponding Class F (155°C) option?

Yes, DAH JIN TLW-F (0.10–1.50 mm). Note that TLW-F's VDE scope does not cover IEC 61558-1 Annex K; for 61558 path qualification, please consult our sales team first.

Is there a Litz (stranded) equivalent?

DAH JIN TLW-B7S is a 7-strand co-axial round-twisted triple-insulated wire; for multi-strand specifications, please provide the original wire specifications for engineering confirmation.

How are samples and lead times arranged?

Provide the TEX-E part number, wire diameter and annual volume you currently use via the online RFQ form; we will reply with a cross-reference proposal, and our sales team will arrange samples and lead times once specifications are confirmed.
